The first thing I did was buy a LOT of sticky notes. Then I covered my wall with sticky notes. Then I covered my boyfriend with sticky notes. They kept falling off! And my roommates thought I was a freak...but that's ok.

PP:

I varied the levels from one image then combined them into an HDR, which did help a bit. Then saturation on the notes, desaturated the jeans, brightened up the eyes, added a gaussan blur to the background and sharpened.

That's a lot compared to what I usually do.

I hope everyone enjoys it! I think it will be an original idea. Though I wish I would have taken that fish tank into a different room.

AFTER CHALLENGE
woohoow! My first top ten! And I believe my second highest score. I'm honestly surprised some of the other sticky noters didn't beat mine...I think my effort is the only thing that got me in the top ten!

Yes...maybe I do have a bit too much time on my hands...I'm on Christmas break from college, and honestly, when I have free time I don't know what to do with myself!

Hey there from the Critique Club

First of all, congrats on your best finish to date, as well as your third highest score. Well-done and well-deserved.

Camera Work/Technical: This looks like it was a ton of work. You came up with a nicely creative concept and executed it nicely as well. Your focus is crisp and clear, and your tones are near flawless. My only complaint is that the Gaussian blur you added gave it too much of a cartoon-type feel.

Lighting: Your use of HDR yielded very nice and even lighting results.

Composition/Content: Very creative. I really like the stickies that have fallen off onto the floor. This added a lot of interest to the photograph, thus giving the appearance of a man falling apart under stress. Well seen in your mind's eye.

My Opinion: Definitely the best of the three similar entries. I think that you may have pulled a bit higher of a score without the background blur, but it worked well with the voters as it is.

Great movie, and a great replication of that scene! I'm sure I won't be the only person here to note that you apparently have a little too much spare time :) - 10

Funny, but this really lacks the technical qualities that make a photo fantastic, for example you photo is reall halfway between normal lighting and low light. Not a good a good place to be! Try harder next time, good luck

So that's where it came from. What a pain to set up. Even worse to clean up! A little dark on the lighting.
