 I just love these people! Look at her hands, carefully and patiently assorting the apples. And the imminent scarf, so typical for the market women under this part of the sky. This is one of those photos I enter without thinking about the score it'll achieve. It's all about telling a story, after all?

This is a perfect photograph, IMO. The lighting is perfect everywhere in the shot, the colors as well. The people captured, both the woman and the man behind, are perfectly placed in the frame. And probably most importantly, it's a lovely depiction of everyday life, frozen in time. Very nice work!

Really lovely natural capture. I like the "real life" aspect to this. Maybe I'm just so used to colour saturation in pictures in these challenges, and am looking for redder and greener fruits, but at the same time, the lack of saturation is refreshing. The woman is the focal point and she is expertly treated in terms of focus and texture. I like her placement on the right hand side.

These are the types of images I had in mind when I suggested this challenge. I liek this alot - a great find, wonderful colors, sharp detail and a wonderful model. She reminds me of my motherinlaw (who is from the Ukraine). Well done and bumping up 2 to a 9.

I gave this an 8 ... only reason it didn't get an 9 or 10 is because she isn't looking at the camera trying to "sell" me the apples ... overall, very well done photo ... IMHO, this is the essence of the challenge ... had I not submitted to the "pet portrait" I would have taken a photo like this ... good luck!
