I'm really kind of hoping for a personal best here, I realize that this photo has various flaws, hoping that most of those will slip by, I shot this in raw, initial editing was done in rawshooter essentials, converted to tiff, edited in layers in photoshop,cropped, saturation,levels,curves,dodging and burning, used the healing brush on a few blown highlights around one eye and on the toenails, cloned out a second highlight in one eye and part of a pesky wrinkle in my backdrop, resized and saved for web. She's a Min Pin by the way and her name is Pepper, she has to be one of the smartest dogs that I've had the priveledge of knowing and for being such a small dog she manages to be a big part of our family. I have another picture of her in my portfolio that I took early on but this one I am most proud of. |

| 6 - Nice colors and portrait. Not sure if it is pp or not but some light areas, dodging, something around the head which I find detracts. |

| Superb lighting of a dark subject on a dark background! I love the catchlights in the eyes and the focus. The expression is quite cute. Great job :) |

| I'm smiling here......looks like Precious is wearing a fur coat...a REAL one! *smile* The only constructive thing I could add here might be that the background might have blended a little too well with the fur. But, love the shot. Makes Precious seem even more precious! |
