This is Skye, a junior student in our school.

It was tough getting her to pose like this especially because she was wearing white. If I can do it again, maybe more dirt in her dress?

Its a good one but i think, the bottom left corner seems a bit uninteresting or "dead", its just an opinion, interesting composition anyways.

This is indeed a beautiful image, replete with all the qualities normally associated with the products of a great photographer.

My only gripe is that I personally do not envisage this as being an image that I would normally equate with "Dirt", since dirt is barely apparent in this photo.

Congratulations on your placement.

Congratulations Librodo !
Really an exceptional picture, great technical quality, the lighting of the scene makes the subject more important, and the model (who could become professional...) has an outstanding expression.
I like this very much.

excellent - the yellow flowers maybe a little too intense but not critical - 9

Looks a little to NeatImaged for my taste. Also I believe that the dead space to the left of the girl is a little much. Otherwise a very nice image!

kitsch

Too young to be this provocative, and seductive. It distracts me, and only for the reason mentioned, I would vote 9+ if the model was a shade older. Still a fantastic image that sits very high in the challenge. GL.

I like the look of this photo. The exposure, lighting, and everything are great. But I think it would be a more powerful composition if it were more tightly composed around the girl. After looking at the photo for a while, I feel drawn off the right side of the image but there is no where to go. I think that the space on the left half of the image isn't balanced with the right side of the image (where the frame nearly touches the subject, and cuts off some of the flower stems).

Great photo.

Color, contrast, composition, pose, choice of model, sharpness. All very good to excellent. The only thing I see not belonging is the 2nd tripod hanging on the top rail in the background. It takes some punch out of the simple line there. On the plus side, one of them frames her head.

This looks like Joey processing, but I don't think it's a Joey picture. I like the composition and lighting. The pipes add quite a bit to the shot. 8

The subject stands out so boldly against the grungy surroundings. Very good composition to this. Great job!

Manny? She looks almost too clean for a "dirt" challenge :) Beautiful picture, sort of risky, I think. I think most people wouldn't put the girl at the edge in the middle there, and the big wall overpowering the right hand side, but it works! Two things I would consider (if I dare) - (1) to make her dirtier, maybe the dress dirtier; (2) to put the dead flowers to the other side and her more in the bottom corner, maybe even try to increase the sense of almost vertigo. The light is great. ~8

Very lovely photo. The child is giving us the feeling of desperation...between her look,, and the dirt on her. And especially the setting, and the withered flowers. Very eerie. I really like it. Excellent clarity and colors, togehter with a somber mood. 10.
