 Bought the Simpsons vs. of LIFE because there were no normal ones left. Set the board up, put my camera on the tripod, and experimented with exposures and flashlights. The flashlight that's on the building was on for 5 of the 30 seconds, and the other flashlight traced the path for the full 30 seconds.

Rotated, cropped, contrast, saturation and unsharp mask.

It was very fun to experiment with! But my apartment is a mess of game pieces....oh well!

I have a feeling this is either going to be an original idea, or a ton of people will have tried the game of LIFE thing...we'll see.

I like concept in this image. good exposure but angle of shot might be stronger if it were taken more vertically down towards the board instead of the angle such as it is.

I like the use of painting with light to trace the path in the game. Adds a level of interest that wouldn't be there with a literal shot of the board.

Might have been interesting to try to mix the painted with light lighting with some ambient/ fill flash so that it wasn't completely dark.
