Usually when one sees a shadow of an object the shadow is contorted. I decided to do the opposite. I contorted the subject and directed the light source to make the subject's shadow appear normal. The light source is the sun and the shadow is cast upon the wall.

Kewl effect. It is so enjoyable seeing photos with such ideas in the challenges, anything different works with me. This is also well done technically, good lighting, the shadow is sharp. A couple of little blow outs on the fork from the light but it doesn't decrease the quality of your image too much.

Is there a trick to this, or is it a demonstration of the fact that if the light is placed just right, a bent object will look straight because of the straight-on illumination.

Very cool, took me a second to figure this out but then I saw how you did it, I think :) The two tones on the shadow are a bit distracting at first and makes you wonder what caused it. An 8 to start
