I like photos which meet the challenge in multiple ways. I've used a similar diagonal black/white composition myself; I might have cropped it to the edge of the shadow on the right as it seems just a touch unbalanced now.

If it's cropped so tightly on the left because the feather's actually suspended instead of falling, I have an idea for doing that which might allow more background on the left. If the feather's falling, then never mind ... I don't think I can do that.

Good idea, good techniques and light as a feather and the light that is shining on it. Excellent.

clever way to interpret the theme, I see no flaws in this one except for the too close crop n the left side

Great image! I like all of the contrasts at play. The focus is great and of course, the lighting is perfect. I am curious whether the feather is being held or if you caught it at just the right time in decent. I'm guessing held since part of the shaft is out of the picture, but it has a feeling of movement to me. Regardless, a wonderful shot. 9

great idea, but there seems to be a little too much nothing in the middle of the picture.

I like this idea very much and am sure it will score highly. The double meaning of light is witty without being the sole purpose of the image. I love the detail in the feather compared with the softness of the shadow. I do find it too tightly cropped at the left side, both to the feather and to it's shadow.

I love this shot. Bravo!! The split background balances the white feather and gray shadow wonderfully!! 8

I love the backlight on the feather. Nice composition with the black and white bg.

I like the strk contrast of the black and white, yet with the soft shodow. I really like the angle of the line running thru this too, nice simpe yet pleasing shot. Well done.

Very nicely thought out! Very often the best shots are the most simple ones, and this certainly holds true here... although I'm betting that it wasn't necessarily simple to execute!

Awesome contrasts. Great setup - I imagine this took some time. Very creative.

Good idea, but the devil is in the details: feather isn't sharp enough, shadow isn't dark enough, composition is too forced (with both feather and shadow just touching the same edge of the frame)

Clever title, great photo. Perhaps more sharpness on the feather but one of the best.

Real nice. I like the B&W in this shot.
The sloping dividing line between the black and white background is great.
And the white feather against the black background and the gray shadow on the white. All nice work.
