| Two things jump out at me with this - there's so much going on that I have trouble taking it all in. I think the images in these challenge are easier to rate high if the subjects are very simple. For example, a crop with the window on the left and the church spire alone would've given the same message, but in an easier to view way. The second thing that jumps out is that it seems a bit oversharpened, as there seems to be halos around the Route 66 sign and the yellow posts. I like the idea and the title a lot, though! |

| I can see that you are trying to tie the church and palm reader together, but the trees/ power lines/ hydrant etc all get in the way of that concept. I like the bottom two thirds of the shot, with the bright colours and strong shapes. |

| There are a lot who will vote this down simply because it is religious. Before I even looked at one life or death photo I had already decided to to add 3 points to whatever the score would have been if it had a religious theme (in order to offset those who vote it down just for the same reason). |
