just going thru emails and there was one from you thanking me for my nice comment ... think it was for the light on white challenge ... anyway i noticed you had an entry for death so i decided to have a look ...
dont know how anyone could deny that a few of these ppl are relatively close to death, or at least on the final stretch ... and death is a fact of life, there's no getting away from it ... i think you satisfied the challenge very well and i also think that this is a very powerful photograph ... i also like the way you've made it b&w and the way you've cropped it ..
i personally feel it should have done a lot better ....
this is a quote from 'shamer' ... "I'd trust the average DPC voter to spot a great a photo like I'd trust my 3yo to drive me cross country blindfolded" ... i couldnt have put it better myself ... coz i've had similar thoughts about many challenges ... ...
congrats on this photograph ........

heartwrenching. definitely not out--they do not embody death, just age. a wonderful group portrait depicting different stages of senior citizenship. i want to hug them. i love that Santa is in the background watching over them. i'm adding this to my favorites as i love photos of the elderly.

Impending death. Wow. Looks like a warehouse for people. Well done.

These people are old, not dead. Pretty insulting to 'explore death' by submitting a shot of some old people. Then again maybe they are dead. They aren't moving after all.

even if these people are old, they're not dead.

Seems all are living still...where is the death? Anticipation?

I think that some may find this offensive. but from a technical point of view I don't really see why this black and white and it looks like it was just desaturated. the whole thing is just one big muddy gray. there really isn't white whites or dark darks.

and again, this can be seen as offensive so don't be suprised if it gets voted down.
