 this is the photograph after Ricky Prism suggested i do a hue/sat adjustment layer using magenta in overlay mode ...

it's now a lot more intense ..

I don't think its ho hum at all, love the misty light.

I like this one. You might want to try adding an hsl adjustment layer in overlay mode and bump up the saturation on the magenta to give it a little more purple pop when opened.
