 A tree once grew below and had grown completely around a power line. The tree was removed, all but the section you see here. It is about 6" in diameter, so it's not a small twig.
A most unusual find.

Cool shot, Brad. We have a hunk of tree on a guy wire for a power pole in our neighborhood. I walk past it every day. :)
