Found this guy while foraging for edible mushrooms, while it won't kill you it'll do a pretty good job of making you sick.

Nice closeup, though I would have used a slightly bigger dof to get a better sense of the mushroom's textures.

In Russian the name of this shroom translates roughly into "fly killer". Very poisonous!

focus on the subject seems to be lost

Excellent work - I have just bought a macro lens and realise now just how hard it is to get a photo as good as this!

Beautiful shot of the amanita. May be cropped a wee bit too tight on the sides. I think I would have tried to remove that one stick in front of the stem before shooting. And the ashen straw standing upright in the front left is a bit distracting. Fortunately those things can be fixed up in Photoshop. All that said I still give it a 10.

Yes, it is, but you'll have a coma-like sleep for about 3 hours then trip your senses off for a day or so. More potent if dried first. Active is not metabolised, so you can save your urine and repeat the experience at a later date. //www.rogersmushrooms.com/gallery/DisplayBlock~bid~5517.asp . Could've done with more depth of focus

I like this, but I think it would be better if the depth of field covered the whole of the mushroom rather than the front of the mushroom and the pine needles in the foreground.

Some "gardening" would have helped, but still it's a nice shot.

Nice mushroom. In this case I think the DOF could do with being a bit bigger so that the stork(?) of the mushroom was also in focus

I am sure this was hard but it looks like you are focused more on the twigs in front than on the mushroom.
