Well, actually, that's not snow. It's just a peice of white foam board.

These leaves are odd in that on one side you'll find the usual Autumn tones, yet on the flip side they are pure white.

Predicted score - 5.65

Post challenge - My friend, if this is a "little bit dark," I most feverishly encourage you to calibrate your monitor.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments :)

how is this a 'best buy point and shoot' with a canon lens?
what a shot. there is not a chance in hell it was taken with that 1 megapixel camera though. beautiful work. and the foam really does mimick snow very well. you have to look closely to see it's not real.
great job.

damn spelling.

I love the texture of the snow almost better than the leaves themselves! Excellent capture - Bravo!!

I just love this photo! I'm glad it got a strong score -- but it seriously should be way up there in the placing! Something about the snow and the gold leaf that looks so elegant!

Stunning work -- as usual!

I'm a total push-over for leaves -- especially ones done as well and as creatively as this -- one of my ribbon picks this challenge

Possibly having the darker leaf nearer to the thirds position may have made this better. Good focus and nice idea. I like the silver look to the other leaves. 6

I just love this. The texture of the background is what makes this such a striking looking photo. I can really see this hanging on a wall in one of those white contemporary decors! Awesome job!
