Nicely set up and good DOF. Whether the background is pure white or not - eh, matters not to me. I will say I'm not a huge fan of the "set up" shot (even though I'm guilty as well), but this is pretty well done for what it is. Probably should have done a Christmas theme, though... :-)

From what I can gather by looking at other entries, I think these LOW shots do better when the background is absolutes pure white. This background (and mine too, which scored badly) looks a bit gray, even thought it is actually white. I think that may be what hurt your score. BTW, I like the idea.

Cool idea, but I think it's the technicals that pull this shot down. The color seems a bit flat - it could be more vibrant and/or bright.

I think a more overhead angle and more prcessing would've made this better. I like the setup though
