 Hope I do better on this challenge than the last one! Nowhere to go but up. :p
It's a bit washed-out, and I realize this is overdoing the challenge a bit but I hope it still does well.

Had the perfect idea for this challenge--Of course, I realized at the last minute I didnt have any cotton balls in EITHER bathroom. Sent Hubby to get some on the way home from work. The "odd" ball is a ball of fur from my rather longhaired cat who sheds a lot. She quite enjoyed her contribution to the challenge, since my husband brushed and brushed to get a nice sized furball. Gross, huh? ;)

my edits:
brightness/contrast
cloned out stray distracting hairs and reflection on counter from lid
burn to bring out some of the edges and de-emphasize the washed-out look
desaturate (there was a bit too much yellowness in the picture.)

interesting idea for a subject. It seems to have an overall pinkish cast to it rather than being white. You might try an HSL adjustment and desaturate the reds to bring out the white better. Focus is a little too soft for my taste.

lol. Yes, it is. Cute idea but I think the over all set up is weak. Nothing with a pop!

the lighting is not very good - possibly an issue with color balance

The concept is funny. The focus is not as sharp as it might be, though, and the pinkish-gray cast makes the cotton balls look a little dirty.

It appears to be a bit out of focus...perhaps using a less shallow DOF or a tripod would have made it sharper(?).
