Well, this isn't exactly how I wanted it to turn out but it will just have to do. I've piddled with this and the other photos from this shoot so much that I'm totally sick and tired to them and don't even care how they do!

Anyway, this is at the Taos Pueblo - had hoped for something that was very Ansel but didn't get it. The little Church that he shot there had been repainted and looks totally different.

Editing: Crop; Adjustment layers for levels; hue/sat; sepia filter; contrast; Flatten; midtone contrast; offset; burn some of the front facing walls a bit and the logs to the right; dodge the man leaning on the wall a bit to bring him out; play with selective color a bit; resize; smart sharpen; save for web.

Deserved better results. This was my favorite in the challenge; its appeal was its Ansel-like lighting. Perhaps the only niggle would be to tilt it clock-wise a tad... nah, maybe not.

This is nice. The man leaning on the wall adds a lot, too.

Fascinating pic. I like that the man's face is somewhat in shadow.

seems almost sepia in tone and not as much B/w. perhaps selectively darken the blacks and lighten the whites? try channels on this. we lived in the desert and i love adobe style. gl 7
