I would like this more if both hands were in focus, or if the front hand were in focus.

I think this would have had much more impact had the focus been sharper on the closer hand or both, as my eyes naturally find the closest hand and want to stay there.

Interesting composition and choice of exposure.... I'm trying to sort out why you chose to isolate the right hand in the center of the frame with a shallow depth of field rather than the left hand...
