Cheese Fondue
1 lb Gouda cheese
1/4 c White wine, dry
2 tb Butter
2 ts Kirsch
1/4 c Flour
Bread, cubed
1 1/2 c Milk
Pepper to taste
2 ts Garlic, finely chopped
1/8 ts Nutmeg

1. Grate the cheese.

2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour, stirring with a wire whisk. Add the milk, stirring rapidly with whisk. When blended and smooth, add the garlic, pepper, nutmeg and wine. Add the kirsch, if desired.

3. Serve hot with bread cubes for dipping. If the sauce is to be used over vegetables, omit the kirsch.

Showing some cheese fondue would have helped.

Maybe it would be more real if we can see the fire and the cheese... but I like the image anyway. It is clear and simple, I like the colors... good luck

Excellent in every detail. My only constructive criticism is that I would have liked to see what is in the pot.

Very bold colors. All the colors in the shot are very strong and helps to add interest to the shot. The red fondue pot is really emphasize by having it surrounded by a black background. The poker going through the piece of bread shows what is going into the pot. Helps to give attention to the foreground.

Nice presentation of the color and texture of bread, but the pictures cries out for cheese, or for a clear view of the fondue itself, preferabley bubbling away.

I scored this an 8 and will be leaving it there for now and I'll tell you why. This is a perfect shot with two little details that made me say,"Where's the cheese?" If I look super close I an just see the bubble of the warmed cheese right over the bottom edge of the fondue pot, a different angle would have helped with this. Also, the the piece on the fork had cheese on it, sitting on a small plate would have gotten you a 10 on this.

Very nice! Good simple composition, utilizing a couple of strong diagonals. The red fondue pot adds a lot to this without over powering. The bread could be better. Not your fault, but it looks spongy rather than good and crusty. The black bg works well here.
Overall nice picture.

Very nicely set up. The color is nice; the red really livens it up. My critique - I wish I could see more of the fondue. I can just see a bit of it, but at first glance the pot looks empty.

excellent composition, focus and color are spot on. wish it was a slightly higher angle so we could actually see the cheese!

Not that many will notice or mind, being Swiss, I can tell you this is not cheese fondue equipment. This a meat fondue set (Fondue bourguignone) with the typical color coded forks. otherwise neat and well balanced composition with a nice set of tones. 7

Nice attention to detail (no fussy background or extraneous objects in frame) but I really find myself wanting to see the fondue itself and assuming the pot is empty!
