| This is a wonderful idea the black background is a very nice touch. But the peas look a little dark, the light reflecting off the actual peas is a nice touch. A 7 for now but I'll be back :) |

I really like this shot. Clean 'n simple. Looks good on black. The only thing I would have done differently is to flip this 180 degrees so the peas look like they are hanging. It kind of looks like (to me, anyway) that they are defying gravity. :-) Like the long crop on this, too.

| A bit more light would give the peas more contrast. You can see some nice shadows under the peas, but more light would help pop them out of the shot. The highlights on the peas itself would really shine. |

| What's the recipe for making a pea pod? I guess this could be the 'before' of some great dish found in a cookbook. The photo is nice. Because the outter edge of the pod is not crisp focus, and the light glares on the peas are soft, it makes the shot look like it's a bit out of focus, even if it's not really all out of focus. The shallow DOF is not really needed here. I would have prefered the entire thing to be in focus. That would have worked better for me. I like how it's centered, and I like the dark background. | I like this image. Great stand out against the black bg. Although it's food, I don't really equate recipe though, so I'm not sure it meets the challenge. |

| Beautiful - the kind of image I could see being used in advertising campaigns. I'm self employed and working on a huge project for a posh UK food retailer/ supermarket and this is just the kind of image they are a) adorning their offices and corridors with and b) commissioning for the project I'm working on. |

| Nice idea! I like the way this looks against the black background, but I think it would look even better if the green was highlighted a bit more - more vivid. Perhaps more pods would give the image a bit more depth/interest points. 6 |

| It's a little dark and seems a little soft for that reason. Placing elements in the center of the photo can work sometimes, but I think in this instance it doesnt really add that much. There doesnt appear to be much happening, it's just there, and not really very appetizing. Perhaps a more dramatic light and a tighter crop could have improved it some. |
