Ever been up all night finishing up a big coding project that goes live in the morning whether you're ready or not?

Post challenge:

To be taken with a grain of salt and written with tongue firmly lodged in cheek

I'd like to thank the academy for their voting. Without them this honor simple would not have been possible *sniffles* I'd like to thank my producers, co-stars, my parents, the manufacturers of cameras everywhere, and finally, the SD card which held this masterpiece.

Thank you all. :-)
*grins*

Welcome to the club!

I scored it a 5... I think Cindi's right, the focus is the issue with this. I think overall it's a tad dark, though it could be argued that the underexposed elements match the subject, but I would still enhance your figure with curves or what have you to make you pop out a bit more. Composition is good, as with many of your photos, so you indeed have the "eye". It's likely the technicals and the post work that you could concentrate on.

First, I gave you a six for composition & lighting... but the score scale ended there, the shot is a touch out of focus and well is soooooo "ordinary". Photography that grabs is new, different, something we don't see everyday... try a little harder and I'm sure you can get something more creative.

A little too soft on the focus. I think an added stop would have helped the image.

poor focus!

more lighting and less movement on ypur part would've really improved this

You would have benefited from sharper focus.

The soft focus here contributes to your "all night coding session" title quite a bit - things get fuzzy after awhile. Nice use of the screen light, too.
