Date: Nov 4, 2006
Aperture: f/2.7
ISO: Auto
Shutter: 1/25

I wanted to photograph how I was feeling, sick with the flu. I captured the moment in black and white, as it gives it a more moody feel.

aah... :(

with advanced editing you could've cloned out the cat-hairs. I like the compo here.

I have this incredible urge to pick off your lint, but I'll control myself. Great composition! 7

This is a lovely, natural image. The eyes are emotive - not easy to capture in a self portrait, well done;)

No, don't cry. Please don't cry. You're going to cry aren't you? I think you nailed the emotion. Now nail the list and stuff on your shirt. This is advanced editing, you can clone that distracting crap out.

Great pose. Great focus. Nice lighting. Lovely model.

A tighter crop, almost to the ear and almost to the top of the horizontal part of the arm would preserve the major element in the composition and possibly improve the impact of the image?

Direct and very sincere capture with a lovely relentless gaze. Bump.

This would be a pretty good shot but for a few things. Mainly the string/pet hair/lint, or whatever it is on your shirt is very distracting. Instead of focusing my attention on your eyes, I immediately start to think, "There sure is alot of stuff on her shirt". Next time take a second and run a lint roller over the shirt if you think about it. However, if you are like me, you don't usually think about that at first. No problem. This is a member challenge with Advanced Editing, so next time just clone the stuff out.

Second, I find the image to be a little flat. By flat I mean a lack of contrast. (some people use terminology differently so I want you to know for sure how I am using "flat")This is really more of a personal opinion. I tend to like higher contrast so for me this photo would benefit from a contrast boost.

Those few things make me score you kind of low, but other than those things it is a nice photo. :-)

Expressive eyes.

Very simple and elegant - truly a nice way to show the eyes are the windows to the soul, since yours are beautiful and expressive eyes. The toning in this is very good!

like the nice simpleness

I'm sorry. I feel it from this image. This is a good example of a title really helping a photo. Nice work.
