Thank you for all the comments. This was my first entry ever so I am very pleased with the rating. There were several reasons, both creative and technical, for the somewhat unconvential crop and after several revision settled on this one. I knew this would get mixed reactions but I'm glad some people liked it. I would have like to make some changes to the lighting and positioning of my face but unfortunately I couldn't devote all day to this image so I had to go with the best one I had at the time. My setup was rather crude which made attempting to make fine adjustments an exercise in patience. Thanks again everyone!

true! coming back for a comment, and I like this one better now. I had to get used to the different crop I think. Nice bokeh!

I really think you can tell a lot about someone from what you see in their eyes. I like this photo, and your title, however, I think the lighting should have been done a little different (just my opinion). I would have liked to see this photo with the shadow above your right eye, either gone or covering everything but your eyes. It kind of distracts me from what the main focus is, which is your eyes. I also would have liked to see a little more of your left eye. I mean, everyone is going to have their own opinions or feelings about photos, so stick to what your feeling is. Overall, I like this photo though!

The lighting is nice. Not sure about the selective coloring, or pana format.
