 editing details: adjust exposure in raw mode, open in photoshop cs2, polygonal lasso to select the rope which was way to bright, brightness/contrast adjustment on the rope to make it go dark, rectangular marque to use for crop, again rectangular marque to crop, curves adjustment, resize, save as jpg.

Photo of wakeboard fanatic Mike Maynard taken in Hastings Ontario Canada. Obviously I have selected an exposure which enhances the deepness of the colours and the sillohoutte effect of Mike.

Wow! This is really an awesome photograph. The crop you chose is perfect and makes the rope lead right out of the photo. Love the colors, and the spray sparkles like diamonds! Isn't there a wakeboarding magazine somewhere this should be the cover of?

An image I expected in the top 5 if not all the way up. It is possibly the most dramatic live action capture of a surfer. Congratulations on your 5th place.

Very cool picture. I like the silhouette of the boarder, the frozen motion of the water and the yellow sky. Nicely done. Reminds me of the pictures seen on the motivational posters. . .
