 I've been doing a few food shots close up and square format like this, so I thought this might fit in with them.

The yellowish green is a little too blown out and there's not much texture to this photo.

Getting this close, with this coloring, you get an interesting abstract. Without the title I would never figure out what the subject is. The texture and shapes are excellent.

I like the concept. I can't quite decide what it is about this shot that is not working for me. Possibly the differences in focus or the composition. The colour is good.

A wonderful idea, the star of the apple for the challenge. But the colors really threw me at first, changing the color of the seeds and the edges was a bit disconcernting at first but the more I look at it, the more I like it at the same time! The bluish/green in the upper corners is a bit distracting, maybe a slightly tighter crop? Also the yellow across the bottom left corner. I'm starting this one at a 7, I'll be back to study it more later.

There's little to recognize here as an apple core other than the title. I can't make out the details.

Cool concept! I'm not sure about the composition. Maybe you could have gotten closer to the apple, and shown more texture.

In my opinion, the color shifting in this image isn't really adding much to the impact of the photo. It creates something 'different' but I am having trouble understanding or finding the purpose in it. Maybe shifting to a darker color that created more contrast would be interesting.

Nice idea...although the seeds on the top seem a little overexposed, the color doesn't seem natural.
