Nicely composed. I like the real sense of depth from shooting across the costume. Would like maybe a bit less of the foreground, just so we could catch the eye. I'd also tend to want to remove the highlight point on the lower right if you could, just to keep attention within the portrait.

I slowly realize that his arms are up in order to fasten something on the back of his head. This gesture becomes more important than the face, which is almost totally obscured, though it is suggested through a very good use of minimalism. All in all, a very telling portrait which retains plenty of mystery. I'll start it at 8.

IMO the out of focus red part covering the face is not very pleasant, and really damages a shot with very interesting colors.

Unusual idea, but for me there's not enough face here to make it a portrait.

The emotion and lighting are there...but that costume piece on the left of the picture is entirely too intrusive.

I would rather have seen a little more face and a little less puff, but I do like your bright colors.

That's just too much red for me...maybe others will feel differently...good luck to ya!

Back to comment: Man, I think you would have had a killer shot here if the clown hadn't raised his/her arms. The out of focus elbow in front of the face is killing this image.

Excellent use of the full frame. Nice colors. I think seeing a little more the face would help. Still highly rated photo.

I want to see more of the eyes.
