Thank you all who voted and commented. I knew it wouldn't get far, but anyway I think the idea got transmitted.

I agree with you all... except with the DNMC. Everyone has already gone home, the kid's just arriving!! ;-)

The pic was a quick and dirt shot in a hurry, nothing staged. Just told the kid to stand there and he did... for a couple seconds, you know how restles kids get ;). No second take or even time to put the flash in.

I know the lightning is... difficult. I doubted about focusing on the kid, hence light him up, or the pavilion, and choose the pavilion as per the challenge description. Tried him to get just to a silhouette with very little detail.

the silhoutte should be more abvious. the lighting needs improvement, other than that, great shot!

I wish there was more of a main focus to this image. The child looks like he should be the focal point, but it's actually the seats in the background that look the most in focus.

Needs.....More.......light....for the love of God.....its just a little to dark I gave it a 8 though would have been 9 if there was just a pinch more light.

Not all the people have gone home yet. Nice idea, unfortunately the gate grill kills this image. DOF for more sharpness on the boy would help. Maybe slightly left would be better, to reduce the dark central midground bleacher and show more bright background bleacher - difficult lighting.

I like this idea a lot but the image is suffering from lack of sharpness, contrast, and saturation.

6 - the kid in focus would have been better.

this image has lots of potential but there is something missing. I think it would have been better had everything been sharp; the boy, the seats etc. But i can see how closing the apeture in a low light area like this could have been a problem. so if you needed a wide opening, the focus should have been on the boy and the grid door seeing as how he and the door are the main subjects here. Hope it helps. Good luck

Seems grainy in the shadows like the original exposure was a bit too dark maybe from the interior lights? Interesting POV for this challenge - I like that. Not sure about including a person in the shot...hmmm. Anyway, best of luck to you in the challenge.

The lines in the grate and in the seats conflict and become distracting to me. I'd like to see more contrast between the silhouette and the underside of the seats, since it is hard to distinguish between the two. I can't quite decide whether the person DNMC or not, since there's no one visible in the venue itself.

I'm sure you went with the darkness to set the tone, but personally I would like to see a little more of the child...just personal preference.

A good interpretation of the topic. You may be DNMC'd for the person but I think it's good as the game is clearly "over" and he isn't a spectator that hasn't left yet (your title helps convince me of this); 7

Very nice concept. This would be even stronger is the sillouhette of the child was even more pronounced. As it is, he/she gets kind of lost against the dark background.
