sometimes I just dont understand the people on DPC... Over 35 have of them voted under the score of 5! It just takes the piss really. You have captured something incredibly strong here. The only technical detail I may suggest is a little bit more contrast... Te felicito! Adelante con el trabajo increible que haces!

Wow! What an incredible capture! This is very very good photography right here. Not that I'm a really good judge since I'm no master, but I am quite taken by this piece. Its fully heartbreaking.

Your shots all seem to have fantastic mood to them. The black and white here is very well done.

I found this guy on the main street of Nuevo Progresso, Mexico I watched him remove the white cup from the bag on the side walk beside him and he was sitting so still holding that little white styrofoam Cup. Thanks for all your nice comments, and if you go to Nuevo Progresso, please, please put something into "The Cup"

This poor guy looks like he really has bared his soul. This is a beautiful study of a desperate subject. Wonderful tones, lighting and positioning - a brave shot and an unhesitant [10]

Very brutally honest exposure shot. Great all round.

This is a very effective photo. The only thing I'd change is the cropping of the right side. I think it would be better if there was a bit more of that side showing.

A great portrait very gritty and well presneted in B & W

But though I can see "exposed" it is rather in the wrong sense of the challenge IMO. Though please do note my first image comments.

strong image, technically impecable. I only regret the mortuary black frame, the white would have done fine. I assume you made his day after the shoot.

Great shot, not sure what the exposed relationship is, but ....I like it.

Great photo ... IMHO a bit contrat is needed and a wee bit tight on the crop but love it 9

While I understand this photo very well I hope that other voters do also. I think it is a great shot with lots of character.

The image is quite stirring, but I'm having a hard time associating it to the challenge topic.

Oh that poor man, I hope you put something in his cup after you took the shot. He looks so desolate and sad. I know you titled the shot The Cup but to me you are also exposing the homeless situation, so many times we walk right by these people and never really see them. The Black and white effect is perfect for this shot, the cropping is wonderful and I really cannot find fault with this shot at all. Some will probably tell you it doesn't really meet the challenge and dock you for that but not me, a 10. My fifth one this challenge!

this is the kind of image that I personally go back to again and again - what a story in that face,,,I am not sure I understand what you are driving at as far as the challenge but I like the image tremendously

The photograph is fantastic-clean, clean, and great tones. I see poverty exposed here. Wonderful work.

Great shot, but I don't understand how the cup is now exposed, having been concealed. 4

Good points:Nice composition and great subject
Bad Points:black border is distracting, doesn't really meet the challenge either. something concealed now revealed?
Score:4

Very good contrast in the piece. The vibrant shadows in the folds of the gentlemens clothes really help to draw your attention to him. The expression on his face makes you wonder about his story. Beautiful captured.
