Three and a half years later. I'm browsing images and I can't help but ask myself, "What was I thinking?" What was then, to me, a sub-average photo, now appears as one that is unique and interesting...

Lovely idea. It's just a bit "funny looking".

i love these images. a little too much soft focus and slightly at an angle. with being this close i want to see more detail.

Sweet choice of a closeup - love the "face"; nice processing, too.

Ok. It's an X. :D I can see where you were going with this and I like the way you've set it up (framing/composition). With the shallower DOF I'm finding the soft focus makes it look even less focused, like the X itself isn't crisp enough. I have to look to the rocks on the side to find the true focal point. Nice color and tones overall. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Very cool image. Quite interesting, going with an abstract approach here. A kinda quirky photo, but I like it. Nice job.

Cool simple shot. I may have gone a little lighter on the softening filter. It makes it a bit harder to focus on an area.

This looks blurry, maybe my eyes. I like the "face" on the bottom angle.

I love the composition but the very short DOF bothers me.

The parts are often more interesting than the whole...

DOF is a little too shallow for me.

Very interesting subject and composition! I maybe would have prefered a deeper DOF but overall that's not a huge problem.

not a fan of the soft focus here...I mean, you use soft focus where it's appropriate like portraits, weddings, kids etc. This is an inappropriate use of the effect which makes this all dreammy and soppy...sorry, just being honest 5

perhaps better focus would have improved the picture
