This is a reptile fossil. It dates back to the Permain Period (290-250 million years ago), nearly 80 million years before the Age of Dinosaurs. Now it is exposed to the light of day again...

this is a great subject! I would like to see a sharper focus throughout though. the color is a bit drab, but that is not readily changed.

NIce tones. Lighting is just right. The image lacks some clarity; perhaps just some sharpening would solve that. 8

Excellent choice for "Exposed"! Besides the bones, the lines around them add interest to the picture. Well exposed, too.

original response to the challenge, nice angle in composition, interesting textures
still a little flat to me

Wow, how cool! Is this for real? If so, you are so lucky to be taht close to it! If not, it sure looks real! This is a great take on the challenge, something that's been concealed for so long now exposed back to the harsh light and reality of our world. Speaking of light, I'm guessing it was a cloudy day when this was taken, it seems rather muted. The sharpness is there without being too much and the colors are a bit dull but considering what you are working with it's expected. Starting this with an 8

This is quite a find if the title is accurate. Nice shot - it shows the skeleton clearly and is nicely composed.

I like this, just wish I could see a little more of the skeleton. A little out of focus. Meets the challenge, IMO.

Truly in keeping with the theme. I think I would have mirrored the image for more visual impact. Very nice.

Good points:Great subject!
Bad Points:Not many really, a white border would be a welcome finish

The subject choice here is quite interesting. The overall compositoin feels a bit flat though. Maybe some creative lighting or a different angle on the shot would help improve that somewhat. Composing on a smaller part of this scene to bring out that detail could also be an interesting improvement.
