 This is one of my favorite shells, as it is quite transparent.
I think it is really great, for this lighting challenge, as I was able to put a small fluro light stick, into it's cavity, so as to allow the soft fluro mauve tones to show through the shell.
I placed the shell into a shallow bowl of water, with glass pebbles for texture and reflection.
I turned out all the lights, and left one heligon light on well behind me.
I am very pleased with the result..... I hope you like it also.....

that looks great i like it don't understand why the score isn't higher though cause thats an awsome picture i love the color and the reflection from the beads(what ever they are.. lol)

That's a pretty shell and the interesting textures are there. The lighting is interesting - but a non-centered composition would be more interesting and maybe the rocks on the base just seem too manufactured, too set-up - which they are i suppose.

This is beautiful. It looks like it has a glowing ring of light around the edge of the shell. I love those pastel colors. Amazing.
