Thank you very much for your comments!

A friend of mine went to Photokina in Koeln this year and I asked him to bring me a camera as a present.

This is what I got, I guess I should have been more specific, and ask for a REAL camera (-:

This Cannon-1Ds Mark-II with the EF 600mm f/4.0L IS USM costed him less than the actual camera (I googled-around a bit, the street price is around 12.000€ and he got it for free at the cannon stand), but I can't complain since I actually got a top-20 finish using this camera.

The funny thing is that I took the photograph using a Nikon!

Wow.. very well done.(must be a smokin' big woody) Excellent photo shopping or aperture? 10

Very well composed. Sharp focus and warm colors. I like it...
10/16/2006 07:01:48 PM
Nice idea, well done
10/16/2006 04:48:38 PM
Where did you find the little tiny camera? Very nice concept.
10/15/2006 09:49:30 PM
Does the mini version of the lens come with a mini price? ;o)
10/15/2006 01:52:52 PM
LOL - I was watching one of those models on Ebay, went for almost as much as the real thing! (well...not quite!)

Somehow, I think that Woody is lying down on the paper. Cool little toy he has, though.
10/13/2006 02:14:16 PM
Where did you get that small cam??? It is awesome!
10/13/2006 11:29:19 AM
I'd love to see how he's gonna push the shutter button with that grip :-)

Clever idea. Well lite, the focus is fine, and postioning of the subject is ok too. The killer on this is the background IMO. Some distance between the subject and the bg would have blurred it out for you and kept the bg from becoming part of the viewers interest. JMO of course. :) Good luck in the challenge.

Love the photo - Great idea - Nicely done!

Wow... Am I imagining things, or do you actually have a _model_ of an EOS-1 with that lens on it? It's advanced editing, so maybe it's just a separate picture skillfully placed in, but it kind of looks like a model to me, and that's just... too cool for words, really. :-)

edit: never mind the advanced editing remark... I went and re-read those rules, and see that doesn't apply.

I also forgot to mention the notion that surely you don't have such a big woody as this would have to be if it was a real camera. Or trust the woody to hold it, if you do! ;-)

It kills me when woody has a better camera and g;ass than I do.... Great job and original idea!
10/12/2006 10:27:03 PM
Very cute image. Very nicely done. I need to find where I can get mini things like that. Slight blown light on his forhead drawls my eye a bit. But overall it is nicely done.
10/12/2006 04:51:01 PM
Shouldn't he at least be using a monopod? <grin> Good job!
10/12/2006 09:08:25 AM
a giant woody!!!!

where on earth do you get those cameras? amazing...perhaps it would have been better to put him in a setting where it looked like he was 'on location' as the bg is really dull and flat 6
10/11/2006 11:00:45 PM
Oh man! you took the cool little collectible out of the box!!
I seen those on ebay before cool prop!
10/11/2006 09:15:06 PM
Where in the world do you get a tiny camera like that? Or is this a giant woody? Cute setup!
10/11/2006 08:34:15 PM
Too cute! Where did you get the camera? Excellent detail.
10/11/2006 08:23:34 PM
Fascinating. Do they make miniature Canons with such detail - or is this a really big woody? Great idea.
10/11/2006 06:11:44 PM
That's an "L" of a woody! Does he have a replacement foot as well? I'm not certain about his long lens technique, I think that that would put a dent in my non-wooden arm. Maybe a smoother/less background would help. I like the image, it made me smile.
10/11/2006 04:20:50 PM
Where did you find such a realistic model camera?! Or is that just a really big woody? Nice lighting.

10/11/2006 07:03:32 AM
OMG how cute I want the camera!!! 10
10/11/2006 06:53:03 AM
Where did you get that mini camera model? That may be the only way I'll own that lens!
10/11/2006 03:16:26 AM
Where did you fin that...I want one...great shot
10/11/2006 01:11:35 AM
If this is real, I'd like to know how you did it. Good luck.
