You get a Jimmie hug (ummm... if ya are a female that is... a firm handshake if ya are male) It is all about those webs. They act as an anchor for the entire pic. Yep.... it is about the webs.

This idea is the best so far in the challenge, however the execution needs work. The idea is exteme enough for me, unfortunately the lighting, and the grass on the bottome left, and the colors in general are flat. GL definately an awesome photo.

Sorry about the grass and lighting and colors... nature set them there. I will look for the exact same image in some fantasy world where all the colors are bright and purdy...

Amazing, thoughtful, sad photograph.
Very poignant......nicely done

Yep. This is one of those photos you need to see... not just look at. It's all in the spider's web. Simple yet.....
...... loaded.
Thanks.

Well Done!!!!!!! This is such an emotive, powerful photo, Good Luck! I really hope the typically narrow box that dpc voters live in is wide enough to consider this an excellent choice for a challenge like this!

Thank you!!!! They won't. I didn't do enough "layering" and "shadowing" and "masking" and such.... I didn't make this image all sharp and negative grayscale...(is that even a option???"

I just saw the image and snapped....

And you were one of the few to get it..... Stop by anytime.

Wow, very powerful! You've done away with the whole body completely and left these people to our imaginations... The boots, flags, and hat all give us a good indication of who this person is without actually seeing them. Great shot! On the technical side, I wish the shot was dimmer... perhaps lowering the brightness and making it a bit more gloomy.

I do NOT do post editing (hate it) .... taken as seen.

Well thought out image in terms of subject. I think that more dramatic lighting would have helped push the image to the next level, though.

You'll have to talk to Mother Nature....that's all the lighting She provided.

Very appropriate interpretation of the challenge. In the DPC world, this could probably use some more drastic post processing to add "depth" or shadow or something (I've not figured it out yet).
