This male cougar is kept in a wired enclosure and you have to shoot throught he wires. It was my first attempt at this and the linear distortion is slightly visible running diagonally from top R to bottom L. All other shots attempted this day were sent to the digital bin of no return due to the lines apparent in them. Shot at 300mm on lens.

I really like how he/she is "hiding" behind the rock. He looks kind of sad though. Is it a catamount or a cougar? I thought catamounts' ears were more pointy, and they had smaller heads. They are mean looking little boogers. (My college mascot was the catamount so I am basing it on that, and may be totally off base. In which case, just ignore everything after "sad.")
