This was shot on my driveway as I wanted the rough concrete feel in the background. My inspiration was the scene from Office Space where they destroy the printer... having dropped calls gets frustrating so I thought destroying a cell phone would be perfect.

The only editing done was the RAW conversion, crop, sharpen, and adjusting the curves. I figured anything else would detract from the composition. I wish I had a macro lens to play with for this one as I think some real close up shots of the keypad or circuit card with the hammer in the background would be real interesting.

Regardless... this was a fun challenge!!

Good title. My suggestion for a shot shuch as this would be to take it more from an angle to get a bit of depth. This is effective for what you're trying to say based on your title, though.

This is the image that the dnmc hates to look at because they are indeed seeing two objects. We take it for granted that the challenge is really three since there must always be a surface or background and what is the difference between all black, all white or textured. Bumping you 8 just in case object counters may argue that once it is broken the guts must be counted, etc.

Hehehe. I wish I had your problem. My problem is never even getting a signal to begin with. :P Btw, nice use of two unrelated items although it now appears to be about a hundred items. :P

I'd have to be hammered to do that to my phone, must've felt good though.
