Not quite where I planned to go today. Eyes, yes. But not quite this close.

On the other hand, I think my iris has some very interesting patterns. Couldn't quite get it sharp no matter how many shots I took or how many times I sharpened. Of course, each time I sharpened I had to do noise reduction.

The vertical lines are the shadows of my eyelashes. I think they add a nice visual bit of interest.

This camera has a built-in "super macro" mode. The problem isn't the lens so much as it is getting my eye the right distance. On the other hand, I'm not convinced these inner details can be made sharp with this camera because it still doesn't come close to filling the frame, so I'm cropping down a lot.
