Challenge: Leading Lines III (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Nikon D200
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM for Nikon
Location: Natural Bridge, Yoho National Park, BC
Date: Sep 17, 2006
Aperture: F11
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/30
Galleries: Nature, Water
Date Uploaded: Sep 17, 2006

This is the Kicking Horse River in Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada and it is fresh squeezed glacier water. Damn cold!! The angle of the shot was difficult as I wanted the foreground\'s leading lines to flow with the water lines but minimize the line of the terrain as it was conflicting with my intended composition. This is what I came up with. The specks at the bottom portion of the image are suspended water droplets captured by my fill-flash. I really hope this does well as I think it to be a very cool shot ..... no pun intended. ;-)

like the subject not so sure about the crazy angle kind of plays with your head.

Nice photograph, and the water looks absolutely gorgeous. Am uncertain about the angle, though. I don't know that a more standard photograph wouldn't be as interesting. Feels a little like you're trying too hard.

I love this kind of photography, and you've done a super job of it here! I like the way the water converges, and the way you used the long exposure to capture it this way.

this doesn't look physically possible. a truly amazing, disorienting shot and a great abstract composition.

Nice crop and orientation. This works for me where other waterfall shots don't.
