 A lone willow tree stands by Lake Monger with the Perth skyline in the background.

Cloned some reeds and some lights out and healed the cloned areas, bumped saturation up a bit, resized, unsharp mask, saved for web.

The first thing that grabs my attention here is the green color on top that closely matches that in the grass. The choice of tree works for me. The choice to almost center the picture may be holding it back a bit. It's not quite centered; not quite on a third. IMO, the picture is a bit unbalanced with more tree and city on the right and less on the left. A crop on the left may help; also getting some more color out of the sky may add a bit of punch to the photo. If I were voting, I'd give it a 6. Good luck.

Composition is a bit rough here. One massive tree with a little bit of interesting shoreline tucked away behind it. Also looks like the tree is a bit out of focus. The tree itself has some interesting detail, and I think this shot would have worked better if composed more or less along the line of the rule of thirds. Tree off to the left, a nice clean view of some of the shoreline buildings leading off to the other edge, etc. Good luck.

beautiful tree and nice view but i don't like it centered here. with so much happening with the city on the right, the image seems a little heavy on that side.
