Great out of the frame shot here mate. I like to see the negitive space re the rule of thirds. What I mean is, your half profile one third of the image, and the negitive space two thirds of the image to balancwe re the rule of thirds. You nearly have that, but not quite.

Try using a soft brush on the edges to get the blend well.

Good use of negative space and I like the expression. I agree that the hair on the top of your head is a little sharp and I think you could try playing with the levels/curves to make your face pop a bit more. Nice shot and good idea.

Great use of negative space. The expression is good. The fuzz on your head just a tad sharp and if you push the contrast just a bit it will make the background a much darker black!
