I'm sure chalk was somewhere, but this has a somber pastel thing going. Hadn't seen this before. |

how right you were about the chalk, but this was one of MY ribbon-winners (a fat lot of good that'll do you). It fulfills the challenge with pastel yellow and green, creating a washed-out pastel effect that perfectly fits the mood of this piece, a washed-out urban setting, washed out of hope, washed out of commerce, washed out of notice. But you show us a man whose story must surely be as interesting as any on the tv or movie screen. 10 |

If picture is doing badly, it's because the dark tones overwhelm the pastels |

love this shot!!! doesnt really speak pastels to me. but its a really great image outside of the challenge |
