Critique Club Review:

Meets the challenge. (I do believe there was a Bambi II, though not sure what age he was supposed to be then. Close enough eh...)

Focus is good. Depth of field could have been better, blurring the background through a shallow depth of field could have helped with background distractions.

The biggest problem I see is that the image comes across as over exposed. The sunlit surfaces of the antlers, and the area between the eyes look burned out and devoid of any detail. The colors of the grass come across as washed out and pale. A bit less exposure, about one or two f-stops would have given you more color and vibrance to your picture.

I'm not a rule of thirds purist, but I have to agree that a little less centered subject would have improved this picture. (Sometimes the deer just don't sit where you want them.)

It's a lovely nature shot..Technically, the photo is good.. might have a little problem meeting the challenge (no worries, won't vote the photo down for that)... The colours a little washed out.. but that should be ok as it looks like it's taken in very strong sunlight.. a 5 for me.. :)

The lighting really harsh, and Bambi is right smack dab in the middle. Not sure if it works for me.

I think i missed that movie.

May be my monitor but it seems a little bright. I really like the setup though. May be the golden colors of the grass and the golden color of the deer that make it seem a little bright.

It is a little overexposed which is a shame.

Did they make a sequel to Bambi called Bambi as an adult? I don't remember seeing it.

Is this Regents Park??

IMHO, the subject is just too centered. Cropping so that the deer's head is more to the right side gives it "room" to look into.

Chuckle. A little too strong on the highlights um ... everywhere.
