 Taken with a cd folder cellophane in front of the lens. A basic setup including an halogen dicroic bulb light and the camera in a tripod to get steady in low shutter speed. The secret to get the mist effect is to overexpose a lot 1 or 2 stops. I had removed a bit of mist effect using Levels in PS. Processing was Levels, Crop and Save for Web.

IMHO the blown out part on the left is distracting and the picture feels more blurred than soft focus, you have managed to capture some nice colour and detail in the strawberries though :o)

I like the similarity between the texture of the bench and texture of the strawberries, though I think the lighting could be better.

Looks oversharpened, out of focus (not soft focused), to harsh of a light from one side.

Ouch. Hot spot on the left hurts to look at. Had it been tamed a bit, this would be an excellent shot.

Cool image! I think this image would have been stronger without the strong highlights in the lower left...it really overpowers you delicate subject.

Well, this won't win the Brownie but it will come close. The lighting is absolutely horrible. Way too harsh and has blown out the bottom left of the pic. The strawberries on that metal background just destroyed it. Wood would have been a better match - or ceramic. 1
