I also took two rolls of slide film which turned out pretty well, and had some prints done (much more expensive than from negative film).
Oh, the technique. I really thought more people would have been aware of my previous posts on the subject (;>þ). It's just a matter of having the lens out of focus at the start of exposure, then putting it into focus during exposure. (Too bad if you don't know how manual focussing works. ;>þ)

Just coming back to appreciate this way cool shot some more :-) Thanks for the technique, I'll keep it in mind for when I get a DSLR someday! Oh, yeah, adding to favs too!
No way! How on earth did you do this?!!! Thought I'd seen some spectacular fireworks photography on this site before, but this... this is stupendous! Bugger going for a ribbon here, this should be the shot of the century WORLD WIDE.
Great colors! I assumed that I would see a 'This photo has been validated." when I scrolled down, and I did! It looks very unnatural, but I like it. Well done! -7-
Totally over-process but hey, it's Free Study so why not! It's very cool but I would have cloned out the pink at the bottom and softened some of the edges along the lower left.
I thought it was some sort of weird plant at 1st glance.I`ve never seen fireworks look this good. Maybe should have cloned out the white one at the bottom.Stil a 9.
Wowsers! Are those fireworks? I've never seen a fireworks shot like it before, if so. Great colors, and makes for a pretty cool abstract. Hope you have a good writeup in the comments on this one, I'm interested to check it out post-challenge.
