Ha! I like the visual pun. :) I wonder if it would work even better to have the P sort of out of focus and some actual pea sharply in focus, as sort of trick on the viewer.
I would have liked a deeper depth of field. I think you should have used a differnt color background, maybe put a piece of colored poster board underneath them to give a nicer contrast. funny idea.
