Had a great time shooting this (and learned a TON from Obiwan). Amazed at how many photographers were around tonight. I wonder how many were DPC'ers? There may be a ton of the needle in this challenge!

Nice take on the icon. I like the composition. Trees below soften the image in a pleasing way. Color feels a little off to me. The verticle supports are actually very close to white. In this light they look sort of yellowish.

We've got one of these needle-like towers in Vegas - The Stratosphere. I'm not afraid of heights, in fact I'd love to be close to the edge, but I get vertigo really, really bad. So, I've only been atop the Stratosphere two times: once for my son's birthday and the other with my job. (Some guy was gonna end his life by jumping off - the police negotiators talked him down thankfully. I guess that should be: they talked him up?). But both times I hated it, the view was unbelievable but I could hardly keep my balance. I prefer your view much better...thanks!
