 My daughter’s eye, a 500 watt halogen lamp and an American flag in between. I used the flag to block the light shining in her eye. I Tweaked the curves to lighten her brown eyes and skin. I also used NeatImage to soften the shot. I liked the effect on the skin, but wasn’t that happy with the eyelashes.

I don't disagree that it's a fine photo, but looking at the rest there was some more original images that could have ranked higher. I feel that the whole eye thing is overdone and the whole flag thing in the eye is a classic in its own right. However, your execution is flawless and it truly deserves to be noticed.

Despite me being against the whole american flag as a symbol of freedom thing, i love this photo! It's well executed and sends out a clear message! I might liked to have seen the photo converted to black and white, while keeping the flag saturated, this might have made the flag even more prominent in the eye. I'm gonna have to give you a 9 though, instead of a 10, just because of my difference to the american flag issue!

WOW that is really cool, at first i was just like okay an eye...but looking better at it yes i like it it works. I just wish there was not so much light/glare next to it. but still a 7

Great reflection. Maybe take it in a bit closer so the flag is more noticeable; takes up more area in the picture.

Interesting shot. Keeping the eye kind of blurry works. It gives the focus in on the flag. This is a very hypnotic.

Love the colors of the flag you were able to include. Wonderful shot.
