I know it would be really hard but this would be great if everything was dead still except the ball.

Certainly some action here. Image is well composed, lighting and exposure is right on as well. Good luck in the challenge.

p.s. - Tell him he needs to keep his eye on the ball and follow-thru. It's hard not to look where you want it to go. ;^)

This is great. Good action and some humor. I think the off balance pose of the kid goes a long way towards giving the sense of action here, so much so that the motion blur (if intentional) is uneeded and distracting. Would like to have seen everything sharp and possibly a reduced DOF to blur out some of the background. Like the composition overall. Very nice work, good job. 5.

Great shot, good focus expression etc but i think these shots look better when the ball is just leaving, otherwise the ball gets stuck to the racket!
