 The kids and I found this outdoor skate park. Only one kid was skating as it was around 9am and already close to 90 degrees. He let me take a bunch of pics of him jumping. In the end I quit from the heat before he did - and I was just standing there. At one point I had to help Aidan out of one of the concrete bowls. He slid down like a slide but couldnt climb back out.

THese are not the type of shots that I normally take. I hope this might push a high 5 or 6 for the benefit of my team.

Post processing - crop, levels adjustments on the ground and everything else separately, color adjustments/stauration/desaturation all over the place, minor cloning of some branches and something on the wall, alot of dodging and burning, blur to remove noise from sky, border, resize for web.

I love the post-processing on this shot except for the small amount of detail in his face. I would bet the intensity of his expression at this point would really add to an otherwise fine image. Well done.

Gave this one a 6 - good clarity, nice stopped motion, nice blue sky. Would maybe like to see more of his face, but the profile kinda works, too. Might be just a bit too centered or have too heavy a "base" - needs a bit more air or sky to really let him "fly".

Nice job on this. I gave it an 8 in voting. No blur at all, nice shine to the skin. Great shadow and sky. The one distraction is that bright patch of white on the step riser.

This is AWESOME! At first, I thought it might be Lesley Goodman's except she usually does bw or sepia. But it has that same great quality, making the simple life of people look extraordinary! Great job.

nice capture. if you get a chance, try shooting from below, up into their faces. they can get some pretty intense expressions.

Nice contrast and color here. One of the first things that comes to mind when I viewed this image. You've done a nice job of stopping the motion. The image is well exposed and sharp. Should do ok with this one. Good luck in the challenge.

Bordering on oversaturated, but I think you pulled it off! Very nice. I just wish his face wasn't in such dark shadow.
