Nice idea, would like to have seen more of the tops of the sticks in focus (MHO) but good choice of colours against the dark B/G (MHO)

Very nice. I love the tonal qualities of the background, and minimal color in the subjects of this photo. There was another photo like this that the smoke, to me, was to prominent and busy, yours is MUCH better in that regard. I think I'd like this one better if there were less sticks of incense (less busy), but it is definatley pretty. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'!

gossip sends out a
peculiar smell. smoke signals

The colors are dynamic and the smoke was captured with the right type of light. The sticks look as if there is movement so they don't look sharp. It looks as if a large radius usm was used to try to make up for the movement. I'm not saying this is the actual case, just what it looks like to me.
To get a higher score, arrange the sticks in an orderly pattern and use a tripod to get them tack sharp. The smoke movement is good as is the background and lighting.
