 Adjustments in RAW plug-in: exposure compensation +.28, fill light and shadow contrast increase moderately, saturation doubled, sharpness and noise reduction used. Converted to jpg.

Adjustments in PS: Cropped, readjusted levels, cloned unwanted distractions, added frame, and resized.

Ran through Neat Image.

This is a stunning photograph. I love every aspect of it from the smooth water to the rocks and the koi. When i get to Honolulu (Sep 09) I hope to be able to find beatuifl scens like this to photograph.

I never congratulated you on this superb image. It has so much going for it. The rich tones and overall softness with that touch of golden orange from the fish. WOW - what a superb effort.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments and votes, they are really appreciated. And a special thank you to members of our Trading Post group for all the time taken to offer your advice every week. I think I am learning, gradually, and you are making it easier by your example (superb photos) and comments.

As this is a highwater mark for me to date, I am really thrilled. Of course, my mind is as calm as the surface of the dark water where the koi swim. Ooooooooommmmmmmmm....

Yeah baby! Way to go. What a wonderful shot and oh so close to the 7. Excellent work and it has been a pleasure to watch you grow here. I gave you an 8 on this shot. The composition works very well and the postprocessing was beautiful. Nice and smooth with great colors. What else can I say but congratulations on a way high personal best and 5th place!!!

O yes...its smooth. I love the still waiter and koi. The reflections are just perfect. I find the picture a little dark though (or is it my monitor?). This is surely serene. Hope this does well for you.8.

Really good composition, but I wish your perspective were better with respect to the koi. He's just an orange line, not a fish.
