this is really beautiful, the simplicity and calmness is what really draws me to this picture.

Niiiice. Great fade on this one from warm colors to cold colors.

Stunning !

oh wow... this is done on BASIC? It's an extraordinary rendering... I'm not sure how well it addresses the challenge, but I use an "on/off" switch for meeting the challenge, and I'm letting this one in on the plus side: so good luck with it! And if you know my work, you know I'm a connoisseur of stark sunrise/sunset images like this :-)

imho too much saturation.

Love these kind of shots :) Very ribbon-like this one...

This is a beautiful shot, but it doesn't convey "perspective" to me. There are no lines leading me into the distance, and it's not an unusual angle.

Aside from that, it would work better cropped a little off the top so the horizon isn't so centered.

Very neat. Normally, pics like this would come off flat due to the lack of any real depth. But the colors create the depth here. The horizon fading off into black gives wonderful depth. I love this. I've never seen colors create such a beautiful plane. 9

This is a truely beautiful picture and I think you are a very good photographer.

Gorgeous photo, but I have a hard time seeing how the perspective dramatically affects the image. Fortunatly I can't rate this lower than a 7 because I think it's just a beautiful shot. I'd like to see this again outside of this challenge with the black spots on the water cloned out =]

Nice, I really like the symmetry and the breaking up of that symmetry by having the buoys in the water. Still not going to give it higher than a 7 as having it in web size doesn´t really do it justice (doesn´t give off that "wow" factor) but I bet this would be breathtaking if you printed it out LARGE and put it up on a wall.

7 :)

OH MY!!!! 10!
07/12/2006 03:27:00 PM
great colors

I guess this is technically good, but it is far too over-processed for my taste.
07/12/2006 12:47:09 PM
Very nice coloring/compostion. A few spots that (if were an advance editing challenge) could be cloned out would help. 9

Beautiful! I don't have much to say other than I love the glowing color from out of the blackness and this is going in my favorites.
